On June 14, 2011 we lost our beloved big boy. That wonderful yella fella that gave forth the kind of love that only a Labrador can give. Unconditional, intelligent and the never ending desire to just please you. He tried so hard but his body just betrayed him at every turn. Yes, he had a good life and yes 14 is old for a Lab. But it is never enough.

Those that embrace the idea of being owned by your canine friend (and not the other way around) know that they become part of you. Not just part of your daily routine by greeting you with tail wags and smiles every time you come home. They share your bedroom and maybe even your bed. They approve or disapprove of visitors and friends and most likely they share in the bounty of your dinner table. They feel the need to share the lavatory with you and then share your couch as you relax at the end of the day. They want to share their toys with you and keep their eye on you at all times. It’s synchronicity.
We loved Remington dearly and were loathe to part ways, we just never wanted “that” day to come. But they tell you when it is time and that day has come and gone.
In the two years since too many canine friends have crossed the rainbow bridge.
Remington, Duffy, Rolley, Dashiell, Weezer, Sadie, Charlie and Molly our lives were richer for having known you.

Incredible points. Sound arguments. Keep up the great work.
I like what you guys are up also. Such smart work and reporting! Carry on the excellent works guys I¡¦ve incorporated you guys to my blogroll. I think it’ll improve the value of my web site 🙂
Your darling boys had very distinct and wonderful personalities! They were witnesses to your life and they were loving and faithful family members. They are greatly missed by all and they will never be forgotten!
Oh how I remember the nights I stayed with you…….and Remmy & Dashiel would come & check on me before going up the stairs for the night. They always greeted me with wet sloppy kisses which I accepted over & over again cause with those two, one kiss was never enough……HAHA Coming into the kitchen, the boys had their food/water bowls high so they wouldn’t have to bend down so far……as Remmy had arthur visiting him. Fond memories of two special boys who weren’t the only ones spoiled…..LOL
So true. They give us so many values that we could never give in return. Their love, loyalty, and friendship could never be replaced. We miss them terribly, but we can only be comforted by the peace they have found over the bridge and the paw prints of love they have permanently left on our hearts. I will add a few more names to the list. Rest well Weenie, Shadow, Sandy, & Maggie. Love you B.
